DIRECTIONS TO LION COUNTRY SAFARI PLUS
The small kitchen had everything you needed for a short stay - plus our meals for the evening all ready in the fridge. There were also a few board games provided as well as an old-fashion record player, with classics including the Jungle Book soundtrack to listen to. The living room featured a large corner sofa, with a TV where you could stream the likes of Netflix and Disney+. The outdoor seating area with huge swing chair We could check in at 2pm, so we spent the best part of the day exploring all the walk-through areas around the park - including seeing the elephants, giraffes and tigers on foot - as well as enjoying the theme park and our first trip around the drive-through safari. As part of your lodge stay, you get access to the Park, theme park tickets and two trips around the drive-through safari. I headed to West Midland Safari Park early on the morning of my overnight stay, joined by my partner and two step-children, aged 13 and 11.
And these four brothers were going to be our neighbours for the night - and we couldn't wait.

There are four new lion lodges at the Bewdley attraction and they opened to guests in July. We had checked into one of the newest lodges on offer at West Midland Safari Park - and we were set to spend the next 12 or so hours a whisker away (sorry) from the king of the jungle. We could have been in Africa on a wild safari, but in fact we were only less than an hour from Birmingham city centre. As all four of us were glued to the large windows in our lodge as the four male lions strolled by, I couldn't believe how lucky we were.
